Homestead IDPA

Whether you are simply looking for a place to practice defensive shooting skills with a new gun, or are an avid competitor looking to learn the sport of IDPA properly as a shooter or Safety Officer, Homestead Training Center hosts monthly half-day matches that will test your skills in a family oriented setting that brings together people from across the community with an interest in lawful concealed carry.

South Florida has a strong base of shooters and safety officers who have been together for decades and have the statewide and national experience to provide newer shooters with the skills and knowledge to participate in every level of our sport and more importantly self-defense.

The main reason that members enjoy the sport of IDPA is because of its people. It offers members from every background and walk of life a shared experience in solving problems with the backdrop of self-defense scenarios that place the shooters in situations they would not normally find while testing their fundamental knowledge and skill with gun handling.

We are particularly welcoming to members of our military and first responder community since that is an important part of our DNA at HTC as well as our sense of community. We teach. Sometimes we cook. Sometimes we tell jokes.
